Lauren feels that rodeo encompasses the values that she was raised with and lives by, which include strong family ideals, good moral standards, and the western way of life.

Lauren is involved with the Reno Rodeo Foundation and believes in the Chinese Proverb, “As one generation plants the tree, the next gets the shade.” She believes, “there is no better way to give back to my community than to help the children who are our leaders of tomorrow.” During her reign as Miss Rodeo Nevada, Lauren will travel more than 30,000 miles across the Silver State and around the country, promoting professional rodeo and the western way of life at rodeos, parades, and community and western events. She will represent Nevada at the 2011 Miss Rodeo America Pageant during the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas.
