Jeanette Bye
Jeanette Bye, 23, from Reno, Nevada was crowned Miss Rodeo Nevada 2007 on Sunday, April 14, 2007 at the Clark County Fair & Rodeo in front of a cheering crowd of more than one thousand.
Jeanette is a sixth generation native Nevadan and is currently a senior at the University of Nevada Reno with plans to graduate with dual degrees in Nutrition and Spanish. Her long term plans including going to Graduate School to become a registered dietitian so that she can work with mothers and infants and improve early life nutrition.
An avid horsewoman, Jeanette has been actively involved in 4-H, Future Farmers of America, Future Business Leaders of America, Intercollegiate Horse Show Association, Girl Scouts and the Reno Rodeo Association. She also enjoys volunteering at the Marvin Piccollo Therapeutic Riding Center. Her hobbies include trail riding, camping, hiking, skiing and mountain biking.
A proud member of the rodeo community, Jeanette says that as Miss Rodeo Nevada she looks forward to being the voice of professional rodeo. “Rodeo is a true American sport that teaches values such as integrity, respect and hard work. These are the same values that my parents raised me with, and I want to share these values and educate the public on the sport of professional rodeo and its sponsors.”
Jeanette represented the Silver State of Nevada at the 53rd Annual 2008 Miss Rodeo America Pageant in December 2007 during the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, Nevada.
