Miss Rodeo Nevada 2000

Lisa Windom

Lisa Windom was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. Her parents, Rex and Sandy Windom are long-time residents as well. She graduated with a 3.1 from Judson College, a women’s college, in Marion, Alabama. She received her Bachelor of Science in Fashion Merchandising this June.

Throughout her junior high and high school years Lisa was actively involved in several community service activities. While attending Kenny Guinn Junior High, she initiated the fund-raising to create a garden in front of the school to memorialize two students who they had lost in a car accident that year. She belonged to several student leadership organizations and honor societies. In high school Lisa continued to contribute to the Las Vegas community. She represented the state of Nevada at the Hugh O’Brien World Leadership Conference and was a participant in Leadership Las Vegas Youth. She was also a member of the Executive Student Council and Dance Team Captain.

As Miss Rodeo Nevada 2000, Lisa hopes to promote professional rodeo in her home state of Nevada as well as travel to rodeo events across the country. She plans to educate the youth of Nevada by visiting elementary school-aged children in the classroom to share her experiences and teach them about the great American tradition of rodeo. Lisa is a dedicated and sincere young woman who will make Nevada proud during the Miss Rodeo America Pageant.
